Caradon Kirtan began in 2019 with Agata and Julie, two bhakti yogis from the beautiful Caradon area of Cornwall.
Julie’s bhakti journey began in the mid 1980’s after an emotional breakdown and breakthrough at the age of 22. Experiencing new feelings of connection to spirit she began searching for like minded souls and a deeper understanding of life. On visiting an ashram in The Midlands she awoke the first morning to the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa and felt deeply connected to its vibrations of devotional love. She has been enjoying the blessings of chanting kirtan ever since.
Agata discovered Kirtan in 2017 through her Krishna Devotee friend during Sundara gathering in Wales, where she experienced pure extasy of devotional singing. Listening to call in her heart, she continued to look for people who shares same passion for Kirtan. Her searches lead her to local drumming group and Bournemouth Community Kirtan. She has been singing since she was a child and drumming from 2017. Through creating CC Kirtan with Julie, she’s still discovering the beauty of Kirtan, taking drumming and singing to a deeper level, to express her love and devotion.
Together the sing and share beauty of devotional singing straight from the Heart.
